In 1950 in the city of Patra, the brothers Fotis and Panagiotis Sorras, full of inspiration and enthusiasm for the favorite fruit of the Gods, the olive, founded the company SORRAS Bros. The Company is fully active until today in Patra, managed by the children of Fotis Sorras.
Our Company’s activity is developing in the area of Northwest Peloponnesus, in which an extra fine virgin olive oil is produced, mainly from the “koroneiki” variety of olives. The main characteristics of that specific variety are the dark green color, the deep aroma and the rich flavor.
Having established a mutual trust all these years with the producers and the olive press factories, we are in the position to standardize the best, cold pressed oil, produced exclusively from centrifugal presses.
The Company’s olive oil is packed without any industrial processing and is available in the market with the trade name Elis.
Our products are sold all over Greece and abroad with the same enthusiasm since the company was founded and our goal is:
- to have a stabilized quality of products,
- to respect the consumer and
- to improve constantly the production sector.
The consumers can find Elis products in selected selling points (Super Markets and Mediterranean diet shops) all over Greece. In parallel during the last years, Elis products are promoted to European Countries such as Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Luxemburg, France, also in the Balkans and countries outside Europe.
Our company operates according to food hygiene rules based on current legislation.
In Patra we are the only ones who standardize exclusively Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
